MLB Power Pros 2008 to bat Wii, PS2

Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. and Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. this week said that it will release MLB Power Pros 2008 to Nintendo Co.’s Wii and Sony Corp.’s Playstation 2 this July.

The title will also be released on the Nintendo DS handheld this fall.

MLB Power Pros was released to the U.S. for the first time last year.

The title combines super deformed versions of real baseball players with robust gameplay modes.

Modes to be featured in the latest version include Practice, Exhibition, League and Home Run Challenge modes

Additionally, players can act as general manager and control their own franchise in Season mode.

“Baseball enthusiasts will appreciate the variety of newly added features, intuitive game modes and improved overall feel, and we look forward to hitting one out of the park this season with MLB Power Pros 2008.”

The final game will include Success Mode to play a story-based career and MLB Life mode to simulate a 20-year career.
