Nintendo Co. on Mon. released a new wave of Virtual Console titles to the Wii home video game system.
King’s Knight is a 1-player title for the NES in which four heroes – a knight, a wizard, a monster and a thief – take on an army of enemies in five action stages. The title retails for 500 Wii Points.
Powerball is a 1-2 player title for the Sega Genesis where eight teams vye to become powerball champions. The title is a hybrid of rugby and football action and offers exhibition and league play. It retails for 800 Wii Points.
Nintendo this month said that Mario Kart Wii will be released on Apr. 27 in the U.S. It will be sold with the Wii Wheel for $49.99.
Additionally, in Mar. it said that the title Super Smash Bros. Brawl has sold 1.4 million copies in one week of availability.
NPD Group Inc. this month recorded sales of 432,000 Wii consoles for the month of Feb. in the U.S.
