Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 40GB Devil May Cry 4 bundle sold out this week based on advanced orders at Amazon Japan.

The bundle includes a 40GB PS3 SKU and a copy of Capcom Co.’s Devil May Cry 4.

On Wed., sales for the product increased 1,600 percent in the Video Games division.

The product carries a price of 47,000 yen or $441 U.S.

Devil May Cry 4 this week ranked as the No. 1 video game title based on pre-sales at Amazon Japan. The item became available for sale on Thurs.

Capcom last week released a demo version of the game to the Playstation Network and Xbox Live that included a sampling of sections from the final game.

In Devil May Cry 4, Nero will clash with veteran Dante in the new entry. New gameplay mechanics include the Exceed system to unleash powerful and stylish attacks.

In Nov. 2007, Capcom said that it will retail a Devil May Cry 4 Collector’s Edition package. The deluxe edition will include volume 1 of ADV Film’s Devil May Cry: The Animated Series, a Steelbook case and a bonus DVD filled with extras. It will retail for $79.99.

The bonus DVD will include a ‘making of’ feature on the game, music from the Devil May Cry 4 soundtrack, a digital art book with images and sketches from the development team, wallpapers, icons and screen savers.

Devil May Cry 4 will be released on Feb. 5 in the U.S.

Sony in Oct. price cut the PS3 in Japan by 10 percent. This month the company said it will discontinue the 20GB and 60GB model in Japan to concentrate on the 40GB SKU.
