January 12th, 2008 by Marcus Lai · No Comments

Sony Corp. this week is showcased a cinematic cutscene in Konami Corp.’s Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the Playstation 3.

The title was used to demonstrate the PS3, the Bravia line of 1080p high-definition television sets, and Blu-ray disc content at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.

In the new video, Otacon introduces Old Snake to the new Solid Eye hardware. He later briefs Old Snake on the current mission and provides him with a weapon.

The latest build of the next Metal Gear entry held a frame rate at 30 frames per second and 60 frames depending on the amount of action displayed on-screen.

In Oct., Konami delayed the title to Q2 of 2008 to make further improvements to the quality of the game.

Sony this week said that it sold 1.2 million PS3 units during the holiday retail period in the U.S.
