Pokemon Snap leads new Wii Virtual Console titles

Nintendo Co. on Mon. announced a new wave of Virtual Console titles for the Wii home video game system.

Pokemon Snap for the Nintendo 64 is a 1 Player title that allows players to take photos of 63 different Pokemon. Submitted pictures are judged on size, pose, technique and number of Pokemon captured. The title retails for 1,000 Wii Points.

Ghost ‘n Goblins for the NES is a 1-2 Player title that debuted in 1986. Players take the role of Arthur to rescue the kidnapped princess. The title retails for 500 Wii Points.

Baseball Stars 2 for the Neo Geo is a 1-2 player title that features six teams from cities around the world. The arcade baseball game includes a 15-game tournament mode and versus play. It retails for 900 Wii Points.

Nintendo in Oct. raised profit forecast estimates on strong demand for the Wii and Nintendo DS handheld. It expects to sell 17.5 million Wii units this business year.
