Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 stayed behind Wii in the latest retail tally. The PS3 ranked as the No. 4 video game hardware in overall sales.

PS3 title Devil May Cry 4 ranked as the No. 1 software. based on advanced sales at Amazon Japan. The next installment of the series will be released in Jan. 2008 in Japan.

Konami Corp. this week said that it will delay the release of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to Q2 2008. The title was originally scheduled to be released in the winter.

Capcom Co. this week announced that Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition has shipped more than 1 million units worldwide. The title was released to the U.S. in June.
