
Nintendo Co.’s new Wii Zapper peripheral ranked in the top 10 sales this week on strong demand for the holiday peripheral.
The Wii Zapper, to be sold on Nov. 19, is a gun peripheral that will utilize the motion-sensitive Wii Remote to allow for new shooting titles.
The product ranked at No. 9 at Amazon’s Computer & Video Games division Wed. morning.
The SKU includes Link’s Crossbow Training, a collection of shooting gallery games to introduce the product.
New compatible titles include Capcom Co.’s Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Sega’s Ghost Squad, and EA’s Medal of Honor Heroes 2.
Nintendo last week raised profit forecast estimates on strong demand for the Wii and Nintendo DS handheld. It expects to sell 17.5 million Wii units this business year.
Nintendo has shipped 13.2 million Wii units to date worldwide.
