Nintendo Co. on Mon. announced a new wave of classic titles for the Wii Virtual Console, including Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos, Metal Marines, and Gate of Thunder.

Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos for the NES is a 1 player action title that follows Ryu Hayabusa in a mission to rescue Irene Lew from a new villain named Ashtar. The title retails for 500 Wii Points.

Metal Marines for the SNES is a 1 player is a real-time strategy title that allows players to command the Metal Marines across a series of battles. In the title, players must allocate resources, ready supplies, manage funds and move troops to win. The title retails for 800 Wii Points.

Gate of Thunder for the TurboGrafx-16 is a 1 player sci-fi shooter that feaatures agent Hawk on a mission to stop the deadly army of the Obbellon fighters. The title retails for 800 Wii Points.

Nintendo releases a new wave of classic titles to Wii each week. Previous titles include Super Mario Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog.

Wii has sold four million units in the U.S. to date.
