
Microsoft Corp. and Pontiac on Fri. announced a new promotion that allows consumers a chance to play Halo 3 next week and own the title before the official release date.
The First to Play / First to Own promotion for Halo 3 will allow gamers to play Halo 3 on IMAX screens in two events planned in San Francisco and New York.
Additionally, one thousand winners will receive the highly anticipated sequel on Sept. 24, one day prior to the Halo 3’s commercial release.
Interested gamers can visit http://www.pontiac.com/halo3 for a chance to win tickets to the events and entry to win a copy of Halo 3.
Halo 3 is the final chapter in the action trilogy to be released in the U.S. on Sept. 25. The previous entry, Halo 2, generated $125 million in the first 24 hours of release. The franchise has sold more than 14.5 million units worldwide to date.
