Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 reached just over 2,000 units in the latest retail sales data from Japan.
Media Create Co. on Fri. reported that the Xbox 360 sold 2,044 units between Aug. 20 and Aug. 26. By comparison, the console sold 2,445 units the week prior.
Additionally, the Xbox successor was unable to rank any software titles in the top 50 game sales.
The Xbox 360 ranks as the No. 6 best-selling video game hardware in Japan. Demand have fared better in the U.S., which moved 170,000 units during the month of July.
Microsoft has sold more than 420,000 Xbox 360 units in Japan to date.
