Microsoft Corp. on Fri. announced that the Gears of War Hidden Fronts Map Pack will be available at no cost beginning on Mon., Sept. 3.
The Hidden Fronts Map Pack is the No. 1 piece of premium download content on the Xbox Live Marketplace, wiht nearly 500,000 downloads to date.
In the Map Pack, players can compete in four areas, including Bullet Marsh, Garden, Process, and Subway.
Gears of War, released in Nov. 2006, has sold more than four million copies worldwide. A version for Windows XP and Windows Vista will be sold this Nov.
Microsoft’s Xbox 360 is the No. 5 best-selling video game hardware in the U.S., moving 170,000 units in the month of July.
