Sony Corp. on Tues. said that the expansion pack for the casual title Blast Factor is near completion and will be available for download soon at Playstation Store.
Blast Factor: Advanced Research is said to offer seven new specimens, eleven new enemies, new practice mode and remixed sound effects.
Additionally, the final game will be set to run at 60 frames per second at 1080p high-definition resolution.
Developed by Bluepoint Games, the physics-based action title was released in Nov. 2006. The game employs use of the Sixaxis controller, allowing players to tilt the controller to send ripples through the arena.
The Playstation Store offers Playstation 3 owners a variety of downloadable items, including demos, game videos, trailers, and classic Playstation titles.
Sony has sold 1.4 million PS3 units to date in the U.S.
