Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 held a double-digit decrease at Japan retail following a short spike one week ago.
Media Create Co. on Fri. reported that the Xbox 360 sold 3,369 units between June 18 and June 24, a decrease of 56 percent from the week prior.
Despite the hardware tumble, the Xbox 360 ranked two titles in the top 50 software sales, including THQ’s Saint’s Row at No. 25 and Namco Bandai’s Trusty Bell at No. 35.
Previous chart-ranker Dead Rising Platinum Collection fell out of the top 50.
Last week, the Xbox 360 enjoyed a sales spike due to the release of Trusty Bell and a bundle package that included the new RPG.
The Xbox 360 ranks as the No. 6 best-selling hardware in Japan, behind Nintendo Co.’s Wii and Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3.
