Electronic Arts Inc. on Wed. reiterated plans for a second wave of game titles for Nintendo Co.’s Wii video game system.
Titles include Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, The Godfather Blackhand Edition, Medal of Honor Vanguard, and MySims.
EA released its latest Wii title, SSX Blur, to retailers in Mar.
“The Nintendo Wii has allowed us to explore new and exciting game play possibilities and attract a whole new audience to EA games,” said Paul Lee, President, Worldwide Studios, EA. “In the upcoming year, we will continue to custom-design our most popular franchises and develop new EA properties that take full advantage of this unique gaming platform.”
EA reinforced support for Wii after a strong reception at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in 2006 and strong launch sales in Nov.
The motion-sensitive system has shipped 3.19 million units to date and is expected to reach 6 million shipped by the end of the month.
Nintendo this week announced first-party titles due out in spring, including Super Paper Mario, Mario Party 8, and Big Brain Academy.
