
THQ Inc. on Wed. announced that it will release Stuntman: Ignition to Sony Corp.’s Playstation 2 and Playstation 3, and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 in summer 2007.
The latest in the Stuntman franchise will feature 25 unique vehicles, online multiplayer and custom-built back-lot arenas.
“Stuntman: Ignition will provide hours of addictive, edge-of-your-seat driving for action and racing fans alike,” said Bob Aniello, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, THQ. “The game brings a unique approach to the genre, encouraging gamers to perfect their racing technique while creating their own personalized Hollywood stuntman experience.”
The game is in development at Paradigm Entertainment.
“Stuntman: Ignition delivers an addictive blend of death-defying stunts and precision-based driving unlike anything seen before,” said Dave Gatchel, General Manager, Paradigm Studios. “With an action-packed career mode and intense online multiplayer, gamers will have plenty to prove to become Hollywood’s next big stuntman.”
The original Stuntman video game was released by Atari for the PS2 in 2002.
