Koei Corp. on Wed. announced that Samurai Warriors 2 Empires for Micorosoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 and Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 has shipped to U.S. retail.
The tactical action game allows players to employ strategy and strength to unite Japan’s 25 regions into a single nation.
Samurai Warriors 2 Empires is the first in the ‘Empires’ games to be set in Japan. In addition, the game features 90 policy cards to issue military commands, and 50 new cards inspired by Japanese history.
Key turning points in Japan’s history featured in the game include The HonnÅji Incident and The Battle of Kawanakajima.
The final game includes 400 playable characters, create your warrior mode, and two-player cooperative play.
