Atlus to drop Trauma Center: Second Opinion to Wii at launch

Atlus on late Fri. announced that the medical simulation offering Trauma Center: Second Opinion will drop to retail at the Wii launch on Nov. 19.

Second Opinion is the follow up to the Nintendo DS hit Trauma Center: Under the Knife. It will take advantage of the Wii Remote to allow users to perform laser surgery, defribrillation, and use forceps.

“Nintendo’s vision perfectly alights with our srategy to broaden our portfolio by allowing us to create new genres that have strong global appeal”, says Shinichi Suzuki, President/CEO Atlus.

Nintendo announced this week that Wii will drop to U.S. retail for $249.99. The launch SKU will include one Wii Remote, one Nunchuk controller, and a copy of Wii Sports.

More than 20 titles from third-party publishers are expected at launch including EA’s Madden NFL 07, Activision’s Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam, and Ubisoft’s Red Steel.
