Capcom on Tuesday announced that the Xbox 360 action offering Lost Planet received ‘Best Xbox 360 Game’ at this year’s Leipzig Games Convention held on Aug. 24-27.
The company debuted the sci-fi game’s multiplayer modes to attendees at the venue.
“With more than 180,000 people in attendance, the Leipzig Games Convention provided a great opportunity for gamers to experience Lost Planet’s gripping single player campaign and multiplayer modes,” Charles Bellfield, vice president, marketing, Capcom Entertainment, Inc. “We are extremely pleased to have won the Best Xbox 360 Game award as it is a testament to its unrivalled gameplay experience.”
Lost Planet is an exclusive Xbox 360 title that will allow players to tackle aliens in extreme weather conditions. In addition, players can pilot mobile robot suits for additional leverage against enemies.
The final game will drop to retail in Jan. 2007. A Lost Planet demo is currently available for download at no cost on Xbox Live Marketplace.
