Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has released several short films to promote the Playstation 3 in European territories.
The films, which employ the slogan ‘This is living’, aim to promote the new video games system as a living, multi-functional entertainment device.
The first film, Real Time, depicts a boxer training for a fight then follows with footage of the shooting game Resistance: Fall of Man.
The abstract short stories will help to build buzz for the PS3, which has been delayed in Europe until Mar. 2007.
Sony blames the revised launch date on the delay in mass production of the blue laser diode for the Blu-ray disc drive. The company has slashed year-end shipment forecasts from 4M to 2M units due to the production delay.
Japan will receive 100,000 units for launch on Nov. 11, while North America will receive 400,000 PS3 units for launch on Nov. 17.
