Xbox 360 Arcade price cut to $179

Retailer Amazon.com this week price cut Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 Arcade hardware by 10 percent in a new hardware sale.
This week, the Xbox 360 Arcade held a sale price of $179.00, down from a $199.99 MSRP. Also, it discounted the Xbox Live 12-Month Gold Card to $34.99, down from $49.99. Amazon concurrently price cut the Xbox 360 Wireless N Network Adapter to $87.99, 12 percent off the MSRP. Finally, it price cut the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller to $28.99, down from a $49.99 MSRP. Microsoft last fall began sale of the Xbox 360 Elite Winter Bundle at $299.99. The company sold 1.31 million Xbox 360 units in Dec. U.S. figures to rank fourth in overall hardware movement.
