EA Inc. and Visceral Games this week said that the Dante's Inferno Demo will be available for Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 on Dec. 10 and Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 on Dec. 24.

The 'Gates of Hell' demo will include the opening of the final game, an adaptation of Dante Alighieri's poem, The Divine Comedy.

The Dante's Inferno demo is said to include fast-paced action at 60 frames-per-second, a prelude to the final title's nine circles of hell - limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery.

Dante's Inferno will be sold on Feb. 9, 2010 in the U.S. and Feb. 12, 2009 in Europe.

The PS3 sold 321,000 units in Oct. U.S. sales in data by NPD Group Inc.

The Xbox 360 sold 250,000 units in the same period.
