Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans retells the Saiyan's invasion of Earth with trademark DBZ characters, including Goku, Krillin, Gohan, Piccolo, Tien, and Yamcha.

In-battle commands include Attack, Item, Skill, and Defend. In addition, users can initiate an Active Guard by press the appropriate button right upon attack. The graphics are solid with sprite-based 16-bit visuals. Each DBZ character's attacks and animations are well-done, as are the in-battle special effects. Sound effects are standard and soundtrack numbers that fit each local.
