Retailer Amazon.com this week restocked Sega Corp.'s Dreamcast hardware at under $80 to customers.
On Wed., the Dreamcast held a discount price of $79.49. Released in Sept. 1999, Dreamcast was the last console developed by Sega Corp. The hardware was discontinued in Nov. 2001 when the company withdrew from the hardware business. The Dreamcast included a built-in 56K modem for online multiplayer functionality, now standard in current game hardware. In addition, the hardware produced classic video game titles including Namco Bandai Inc.'s SoulCalibur, Capcom Co.'s Power Stone, and Sega Corp.'s Phantasy Star Online. The Dreamcast recently celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2009. Follow Punch Jump on Twitter for breaking video game news. And, Follow We Love Hot Deals for blazing hot video game deals.
