Retailer Amazon.com this week began holding a new Sci-Fi DVD and Blu-ray disc sale that discounts more than 600 Sci-Fi DVDs and Blu-ray discs in a new sale.

Discounted products include Stargate SG-1: The Complete Series Collection at $119.99, Superman – The Animated Series Vol. 1-3 at $29.99 and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines Blu-ray disc at $9.49.

Amazon this month began holding a new $9.99 Blu-ray disc sale in a new high-definition promotion.

It is concurrently holding a new Blu-ray Madness Sale that discounts Blu-ray titles by up to 60 percent.

Sony Corp. in Sept. began selling the new Playstation 3 Slim model, a smaller and lighter version of the hardware.

It includes a 120GB hard drive and built-in Blu-ray disc player for $299.99.
