Meanwhile, Amazon.com this week discounted the Blue Dualshock 3 controller SKUs to $43.99.

In addition, it price cut pre-order sales for God of War Collection to $36.99.

Sony in Aug. began sale of the new PS3 Slim model, a smaller and lighter version of the hardware.

The PS3 Slim includes a 120GB hard drive and a built-in Blu-ray disc player for $299.99.
