On Thurs., the Batman: Arkham Asylum PS3 SKU held a sales rank of No. 4 in Amazon.com's Video Games division, while the Xbox 360 SKU held a No. 5 rank in the same period.
Both carry a sale price of $52.99 at the retailer.
Meanwhile, Best Buy Co. Inc.'s online divisions lists the Batman: Arkham Asylum PS3 stand-alone SKU as the best-selling version of the title, followed by the Xbox 360 SKU.
Finally, Wal-Mart Stores Inc.'s online division ranks the Batman: Arkham Asylum PS3 SKU as the top-selling version, followed by the PS3 Collector's Edition SKU.
The higher sales rank follows solid demand for Sony's new Playstation 3 Slim hardware, which ranks as the No. 1 product in Amazon's games division.
The product, which includes a 120GB hard drive, carries a pre-order price of $299.99.
Batman: Arkham Asylum was released to the PS3 and Xbox 360 on Aug. 25. It will be sold in Europe and Australia on Aug. 28.
The title introduces a new FreeFlow combat system and Invisible Predator mechanic.
Villains include Harley Quinn, Bane, Killer Croc and Poison Ivy.
The PS3 version includes exclusive DLC Challenge Levels that include the ability to play as The Joker.
