On Wed., Wii Sports Resort held a sales rank of No. 1 at Amazon's Video Games division.
Wii Sports Resort is the follow-up to the pack-in title Wii Sports. The title will feature 12 new sporting events and include the new Wii MotionPlus accessory.
The title has sold more than 500,000 units in Japan since launch in June.
Wii Sports Resort will be sold at the end of July in the U.S.
In June, Nintendo released the Wii MotionPlus, a new accessory that will provide more accurate motion-sensitive controls. It carries an MSRP of $19.99.
The Wii MotionPlus sold 374,000 units in June U.S. sales.
In June, Nintendo showcased new titles to be released in 2009, including New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Wii Fit Plus.
