Retailer Amazon.com on Mon. discounted Sega Corp.'s The Conduit for Nintendo Co.'s Wii to under $38 in a limited Gold Box deal.

On Mon., The Conduit held a sale price of $37.99, 24 percent off the $49.99 MSRP.

The Conduit is an original first-person-shooter IP that features an array of sci-fi gadgets and powerful weapons to destroy enemy aliens.

The title includes a single-player campaign mode and mulitplayer online functionality for up to 12 players.

Wii sold 289,500 units in May U.S. sales to rank as the top-selling console for the month.

In June, it showcased new titles to be released in 2009, including New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Wii Fit Plus.
