Final Fantasy VII has been downloaded more than 100,000 times in the period ending June 17 in North America.
The title was released on June 2.
Other top downloaded games include Wolfenstein 3D, Bomberman ULTRA, Gunstar Heroes, and Trash Panic.
The Playstation Network currently holds 25 million registered users and 500 million pieces of download content.
Sony this month showcased new game titles at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, including Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and God of War III.
Additionally, the company demonstrated the PSP Go, a new 16GB handheld to hold all digital content.
The product will be sold for $249 on Oct. 1.
Retailer Amazon.com this week price cut the PS3 160GB SKU to $479.99, down from a $499.99 MSRP to move current inventory.
