Retailer Amazon.com this week price cut Killzone 2 for Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 to under $50 in a new game sale.
This week, Killzone 2 held a sale price of $49.99, down from the $59.99 MSRP. Sony in Apr. released the Killzone 2 Steel and Titanium DLC, which includes two brand new multiplayer maps, new gameplay elements, and strategic twists. Maps include Wasteland Bullet, a territory fight aboard a bullet train and Vekta Cruiser, a vast ship battle to repel a force of Helghast troops. Killzone 2 is the third entry in the first-person action franchise. The latest installment includes a single-player campaign and multiplayer functionality for up to 32 on the Playstation Network. Sony in Feb. said that the Playstation Network online service for the Playstation 3 has exceeded 20M members worldwide. The Playstation Network launched in Nov. 11, 2006. In July 2008, the online division began offering TV and movie content to members. Additionally, the company said that four million users have registered for Home, an online social universe in which player avatars can mingle and play games.
