Sony Corp.'s U.S. game division on Tues. said that it will offer a new free downloadable costume this week for the title LittleBigPlanet for the Playstation 3.

The new 'Sack-in-the-Box' costume was created the U.S. winner of the "LittleBigChallenge 003- Official in-game SackBoy Costume Contest".

Additionally, new LocoRoco-themed Sackboy costumes will be available for purchase at the PlayStation Store on Thurs.

LittleBigPlanet ranked as the No. 8 best-selling title in Nov. U.S. sales according to NPD Group Inc.

Sony this week began sale of a new 160GB PS3 SKU at U.S. retail.

The bundle includes a new 160GB PS3, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, PAIN downloadable game voucher, and a Dualshock 3 controller for $499.

The PS3 sold 190,000 units in Oct to rank as the No. 4 hardware during the month according to data from NPD Group Inc.
