Various game and server errors for Sony Corp.'s launch of SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs: Confrontation caused frustrated Playstation 3 owners to cry foul on launch day.

Malfunction issues included game disconnects, room disconnects, Corrupt File errors, and 'Operation Could Not Be Completed' error messages.

A problem can occur when players are required to download an update to the title. When the update is installed a 'Corrupt File' message appears when it is automatically loaded.

Additionally, when operating through the online menu, random operation error messages prompt the player more than once.

Unhappy buyers took to the game's official online message board to vent.

"They should look into this before they even funded and released the final version!!! Everybody should return their games...and hit them where it hurts!! I thought Beta was open to test out bugs!!," wrote Playstation.com member Flex317.

A pre-release SOCOM player was similarly frustrated.

"What was the purpose of the beta? I was a beta player and all these issues have already been experienced and repaired (5 updates later). Why are we experiencing the same issues? It just doesn't make sense that the biggest online game ever allows something like this to happen," wrote Playstation.com member ces302.

The current 'Server Problems' thread reached 22 pages by Wed. evening.

A Sony spokesperson from the U.S. game division said that the company is aware of login issues and that it should be up and running and quickly as possible.

By late Wed. evening, corrupt file prompts, game disconnect issues, and communication error prompts eased to allow for a better play experience.
