Wii Fit also ranked ahead of the new release Rock Band Special Edition for Wii. The item includes mic, drum, and guitar peripheral to form a virtual band.
Wii Fit, released in late May, has held a sold out status at major retailers across the U.S. The product allows users to facilitate more than 40 exercises with the included Wii Balance Board.
Current accessories available for Wii Fit include the Balanced Board Rechargeable Battery Pack, Wii Fit Travel Bag, and Wii Fit Yoga Mat.
U.S. retailers, including Wal-Mart Stores Inc., and Target Corp. have sold out of Wii Fit nationwide.
NPD Group Inc. this month said that Wii ranked as the No. 1-selling video game hardware in May U.S. sales, moving 675,089 units during the month.
