It has also slashed up to 60 percent off HD DVD titles in the latest promotion for the defunct high-definition format.
In addition to Amazon, Best Buy Co. Inc. stores this week discounted an all-in-one Sony PC with built in Blu-ray disc player at a discount price.
It is also selling select Blu-ray disc titles for $24.99.
Sony Corp. in Apr. said it will offer a new video download service for the Blu-ray backed Playstation 3 video game hardware.
Each PS3 sold includes a Blu-ray disc drive.
Strategy Analytics, Inc in Mar. reported that the PS3 will drive the Blu-ray market until 2009, after which stand-alone players will further growth into homes.
