The Halo 3 Legendary Edition was discounted to $109.99 from $129.99 in the 'Deal of the Day' promotion, boosting sales 306 percent in Amazon's Computer & Video Games division.
On Mon. morning, the product ranked in the No. 31 sales rank in the division, up from a prior rank of No. 126.
The Halo 3 Legendary Edition SKU includes two bonus discs of supplemental content and a collectible Spartan helmet case. Additionally, Microsoft retails the Halo 3 Standard Edition and the Limited Edition in the U.S.
The Standard Edition is currently the No. 1-selling product at Amazon's game division.
Microsoft this month said that Halo 3 generated $300 million in first-week sales in the U.S. In addition, more than 2.7 million players have logged on to multiplayer sessions via the Xbox Live online service.
Microsoft has sold 6.3 million Xbox 360 units in the U.S. to date.
