Sales for Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 fell after a rebound in the latest Japan retail tally. The PS3 ranked two software titles in the top 50 in the sales period.

Sony this week began offering new downloads at the Playstation Store. New items included downloadable games PixelJunk Racers and High Stakes on the Vegas Strip: Poker Edition.

Sony this week released the action title Heavenly Sword to U.S. retail. The game features physics-based destructible environments and a wide array of weaponry.
