Retailer Circuit City next week will retail 2K Games' Bioshock for Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 and the PC at a $10 discount, according to consumer site CheapAssGamer.com.

The anticipated action title carries an MSRP of $59.99 for the Xbox 360 and $49.99 for the PC.

Bioshock this week climbed to the No. 3 rank at Amazon.com's Computer & Video Games divsion.

2K this week released a first level demo of the title to the Xbox Live Marketplace. The 1.35GB demo allows players to lurk in an underwater city called Rapture.

Earlier this week, select Toys R Us brick and mortar locations sold the anticipated title ahead of its Aug. 21 first release date. 2K Games this week committed to next week's official launch date.

Microsoft has sold 5.6 million Xbox 360 units in the U.S. to date. Earlier this month, it price cut all Xbox 360 models to spur year-end sales.
