Wii sales hold, Xbox 360, PS3 gain at Amazon

Sales for Nintendo Co.'s Wii held steady while Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 and Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 experienced gains in the latest retail data from Amazon.com.
In the latest retail tally, Wii ranked No. 2 in the top-sellers of the Computer & Video Games division, unchanged from the week prior. Wii held the most related products in the top ten, including Mario Party 8 at No. 1, Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition at No. 3, and Wii Play at No. 6. Microsoft's Xbox 360 ranked No. 16 in the same division, an increase from a rank of No. 17 one week ago. The highest ranking game title for the console is Forza Motorsport 2 at No. 28. Sony's Playstation 3 held the largest gain of the week to rank at No. 26, and increase from a No. 35 rank one week ago. The highest ranking game title for the console is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas at No. 40. Wii is the top-selling game console in the U.S., selling 338,000 units in the month of May according to NPD Group Inc. By comparison, Microsoft sold 155,000 Xbox 360 units and Sony moved 82,000 PS3 units in the same period.
