Best Buy stores this week began discounting select launch titles for Nintendo Co.'s Wii in the latest promotion for the motion-sensitive console.

Ubisoft's Red Steel and Tecmo's Super Swing Golf are advertised at $29.99 each, a $20 savings from the MSRP.

Red Steel has previously been discounted by select retailers, while savings for Super Swing Golf represent the first time it has been sold for under $30.

The retailer also discounted Sega's Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz to $39.99 from $49.99.

The latest round of price cuts for Wii game titles is likely to maintain high demand for the latest Nintendo console. Wii has been sold out in most retail stores since the holidays and has attracted mass market buyers with ease of play and affordability.

Wii game titles generally sell for $10 less than game offerings from Microsoft Corp. and Sony Corp.

Nintendo this month announced that it will offer its first online game for Wii, Pokemon Battle Revolution, in Apr.

The game will also utilize the popular Nintendo DS handheld as a controller for the new game.

Nintendo expects to ship 6 million Wii units by the end of the month.
