Nintendo Co.'s Wii is holding the No. 1 position as the most popular video game system on Ebay.

The motion-sensitive system sold 24,926 units at an average price of $343.81 in the latest sales estimates.

By comparison, Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 is No. 2 at 6,160 units sold and Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 is third at 5,155 units sold.

Wii has been sold out in most U.S. retail stores since a holiday buying frenzy left stores out of inventory. Nintendo has held staggered restocking of Wii at nationwide stores, including Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Target.

In addition, Wii was the best performing video game system in the U.S. in Jan. sales figures, outpacing the Xbox 360 and PS3 by a wide margin.

Nintendo has shipped 3.19 million Wii units to worldwide retail. It expects to reach 6 million in shipments by fiscal Mar. 2007.
