Namco Bandai on Thursday announced that it will drop the new title Enternal Sonata to the Xbox 360 in 2007.
The role-playing game is said to take full advantage of the Xbox 360 for graphics, 3D character models, and a groundbreaking battle system.
In the game, a famous composer drifts between this life and the next when he encounters a tale of good and evil.
"Eternal Sonata will set a new standard in next generation RPGs as it combines an immersive, in-depth story line that will draw the player into the game," Yoshi Niki, Namco Bandai Games America Inc.'s Product Group Director, said. "With a host of impressive next generation features such as a unique monster morphing system, a hybrid of a turn-based and action battle system with a special attack feature dependent on light and shadow, Eternal Sonata will set a new standard for next-generation RPG gaming."
Namco Bandai is in development on the action game Mobile Ops: The One Year War for the Xbox 360.
Microsoft is showcasing 110 high-definition games this week at the Tokyo Game Show 2006 in Japan, including Blue Dragon and Infinite Undiscovery.
