The invite-only events will likely reveal the pricing, lauch date, and launch game offerings for the system.
The Japan event will occur first at 1 a.m. EST on Thursday, followed by events in the U.S. and Europe.
Nintendo debuted Wii at the 2006 Electronic Entertainment Expo to criticial acclaim. The system will employ a remote control that will allow players to control action using gestures.
Analysts estimate that Wii will retail from $179 - $249. Nintendo has maintained that the machine will sell for under $250 in global markets.
Software offerings for Wii will range from casual fare like Wii Sports to franchise hits like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
Nintendo hopes to parlay the success of the unconventional Nintendo DS handheld to Wii through casual offerings and lower barrier to entry.
Wii will compete this holiday season against Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's Playstation 3.
