Namco's Playstation 2 shooter Time Crisis 3 outsold the Nintendo DS and the Xbox 360 after a heavy discount that saw a surge in sales for the light gun sequel.

Amazon.com discounted Time Crisis 3 with dual Guncons to $19.99 over the July 4th holiday weekend to shoot it past offerings like Brain Age, New Super Mario Bros., Nintendo DS Lite, and the Xbox 360 in overall sales.

The shooter is currently sold out at Amazon. It is being offered by several Amazon Marketplace sellers at standard pricing.

While the deal does not seem to be a price mistake, Amazon has revoked deals listed in error. The e-tailer cancelled pre-orders for the Xbox 360 after it was listed without games or accessories. It later sold the system bundled with games and accessories at a marginally higher price.
