Nintendo to drop Wii release date and price in Sept.
Nintendo on Tuesday told a news conference that it will announce the release date and price for Wii around Sept.
The company previously announced that Wii would retail for under $250 when it drops in the fourth quarter to global markets.
Wii dazzled press and analysts last month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo with innovative games that employ use of the system's motion-sensing remote controller.
Games like Wii Tennis, Super Mario Galaxy, and Excite Truck were among the most popular titles.
Nintendo expects to ship 6M hardware units and 17M software units for Wii by Mar. 2007.
