Midway on Friday announced that the real-time strategy game Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War has gone gold and will ship to retail on June 12.

The new title will allow players to command one of four empires of the ancient world and fight side-by-side with their troops.

The game will feature a new Hero Command system to control historic figures like Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, Cleopatra, and more to conquer the land.

Consumers who pre-order the game will receive a 48-page mini-strategy guide for free.
