Nintendo to debut Revolution at Kodak Theater

Nintendo on Tuesday began sending invitations to media outlets to attend a pre-E3 press briefing that will take place at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles on May 9.
Nintendo is expected to reveal final details on branding, pricing, and launch games for the Revolution at the event. The Kodak Theater is a venue for high-profile Hollywood events, including the Oscars, Daytime Emmy Awards, and the American Idol finale. The reveal will be a grand transition for the video game veteran, which has seen console marketshare for the current-generation GameCube console dip below offerings from Sony and Microsoft. It, however, has seen recent success on sales of the Nintendo DS handheld at over 14.4M sold to date. Ubisoft unveiled a new title in development for the Revolution called Red Steel, a first-person action game that allows players to wield a firearm or katana via the system's remote controller.
