Xbox 360 sales gain momentum in Japan

Microsoft's Xbox 360 saw a sales increase this week, a report from Media Create Co. said Thursday.
The next-generation console sold 3,258 units this week, a sharp increase from previous weekly sales of around 1,000 units per week. The all-female wrestling game Rumble Roses XX may have provided the system with some renewed momentum at retail. Konami's Xbox 360 exclusive game debuted at #11. In addition, Taito's flight combat game Over G holds at #38. Microsoft announced a renwed committment to the Xbox 360 platform this week that included more exclusive games and new offerings for the Xbox Live Arcade. The software giant will release a limited edition FIFA version of the Xbox 360 in Japan later this month.
