This week, Merrill Lynch caused a stir with its report that Sony's PS3 would cost up to $900 to manufacture.

The report of hardware cost and possible delay caused Sony's shares to see a slight fall in Tokyo.

Merrill Lynch suggested that the Xbox 360 may gain on a PS3 delay should customers opt for it rather than wait for the next Playstation.

Japan's new Xbox chief admits that Xbox 360 sales have been below expectations. The console has sold only 115,000 units to date.

A Nintendo Revolution developer says that its power is sufficient against competiting consoles in combination with the innovative controller.

The Revolution's stand may even double as a power supply.

Finally, Xbox 360 sees another rough week in sales in Japan and Tecmo's blames Dead or Alive 4 for its weak profits.
