The Xbox Live Marketplace is a microtransaction hub that allows Xbox 360 owners to download trailers, game trials, and game extras for free or at a minimal cost.
Customers can buy Microsoft Points online or at retail stores and redeem them for game extras like themes, menu icon or classic arcade games.
Microsoft hopes that the hub will help subsidize the cost of the Xbox 360 hardware, which is sold at a significant loss.
Kameo: Elements of Power is an action adventure game developed by Rare that has meet with so-so sales. The game sold around 73,000 copies in Nov. according to market research firm NPD, largely due to its inclusion in many retail bundles.
