Sam's Club online division on Monday offered more Xbox 360 bundles to its members.
Sam's Club is a warehouse chain owned by retail giant Wal-Mart. The website offered two premium edition bundles, one with an additional controller and play & charge kit for $449.42 and another that added three games for $592.48. A quick stock check of stores revealed that the console was not available for in-store pickup at most Southern California locations. The bundles, which were moderately priced, sold out in minutes. Rival warehouse chain Costco received an additional shipment of Xbox 360 consoles at select stores nationwide that quickly sold out to walk-in customers. Parent company Wal-Mart offered Xbox 360 consoles without games or accessories through its online division to its customers by mistake in late Nov. The company eventually honored all orders made for the console.
